Plain and simple I just needed to rap. Certain songs or moments in mainstream music just irk me and I think Mr. Wolf was sort of a response to that. I get real bored when things start to sound too alike and thats the spirit this record was made in. Pusha T said "With basic rhyme pattern, how the fuck you trying to chatter" on a song called Chinese New Year; It was like mid verse and the way I had to approach the beat for Mr.Wolf had me in that mind set. And that Pusha line as a refrain was simple and poignant enough to get that point across while still just flowing. Mr. Wolf really took the wheel on this one. I really just rapped my ass off and when I got to the end of it I looked back and realized how much deeper it was for me.
